As part of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015: A Wales of vibrant culture and thriving Welsh language, Pontypool Community Council is committed to promoting and preserving the Welsh language.

The Council’s Welsh Language Scheme was prepared under the Welsh Language Act 1993.
