The nights may be drawing in, but there’s a whole host of ways to get into the festive spirit with Pontypool Community Council’s winter celebrations and projects
Christmas Cavalcade
The last Saturday in November marks the official switch on of the Pontypool Christmas Lights.
Throughout the day, the town centre and indoor market are awash with Christmas celebrations. Visit Santa in his grotto, get your dancing shoes on at the Town Centre stage or take a spin on one of the funfair rides.
The end of the day culminates in a parade through town with all our festive performers, before the beautiful lights are switched on, illuminating the town.
Christmas Trees
The Community Council arrange for the installation of a large Christmas tree at Pontypool Memorial Gates, opposite the civic centre, fully decorated with sparkling lights.
