Biodiversity is the variety of life found on earth. It includes all species of plants and animals, their abundance and genetic diversity, and it needs our protection.

Like the rest of the World, Wales continues to face biodiversity loss. We recognise the central role that biodiversity plays and the need to integrate and embed its protection and enhancement into all our work.
