Get Ready for Party in the Park 2025

Head on down to Pontypool Park on Saturday 12th July for this year’s summer sizzler of an event, PARTY IN THE PARK 2025

Check out what’s in store…

Samba Galez will be kicking off the day, leading our parade around the park from 11am, with support from our entertainers, community groups and this year’s Chair’s Charities.

We’ll have all your regular favourites from All Creatures Great and Small’s Dog Show to the Hedyn Homes fun zone. And we can’t wait to dance away to this year’s headliner, Arcade So 80’s!

Unleash your creativity with our Urban Art painting pop-up outside the leisure centre and get Ready Player One with Gwent Police’s Gaming Van.

Not forgetting a host of inflatables, vintage games, artisan food and craft stalls and some surprise entertainers popping up throughout the day.

FAQ’s

We encourage all our guests to consider their carbon footprint and make the most of public transport when attending our events.  All pedestrian entrances to the Park will be open as usual.

Travelling by Car?

Please be aware that the Leisure Centre car park off Trosnant Street is likely to be very busy with more pedestrians than usual. Please consider using the overflow car park opposite, or the car parks in the town centre and remember to park considerately. Representatives from Torfaen Civil Parking Enforcement will be around to help answer any of your parking queries.

We have a whole range of tasty food stalls to choose from, from pasties and pies to noodles and pizzas, and no summer’s day is complete without an ice-cream!

In the centre of the main field you’ll find our tea room tent with tables and seating available for everyone to use whether you’re buying a snack or bringing your own picnic from home.

The disabled car park directly outside the leisure centre will be accessible as usual.

A lot of the event takes place on grass. Some Surfaces are uneven and may be unsuitable for disability scooters / wheelchairs.

Attendees are welcome to use the accessible toilet facilities in the leisure centre, and Pontypool Museum. There will also be an accessible portaloo located by the Rugby Stadium.

We love Party in the Park, but it can be overwhelming with so many people and loud noises.

If you need a break, head to the top floor of Pontypool Museum where you’ll find a soothing space to recoup away from the hubbub, open 11am-4pm

We know large events come with a large amount of waste but we’re committed to reducing the impact our event has on the planet.

There will be 4 recycling stations around the site.

Please separate your waste into:

Paper & Card

Plastic & Cans

Food Waste

Non-recyclable waste

They’ll be dedicated volunteers near all our stations if you need help.

We will have a dedicated Children’s Zone in the enclosed field, here you’ll find the fabulous teams from Torfaen Play, Osbourne Lodge Nursery, Torfaen Library Team and Ysgol Feithrin Pontypwl.

This year the Pontypool Community Council’s Charities, as chosen by the Chair, are:

Hope GB

Torfaen Pride

There will be bucket collections around the site to support these worthwhile causes.

Please be aware that there will be no separate funfair at the event this year.

We are proud to create an affordable, fun, family-friendly and safe event for our community with ALL FREE ACTIVITIES to the public.
